Shannon was established more than 50 years ago as a merchanting company dealing with West Africa. Having seen a gradual erosion of this market particularly in the eighties, the firm took a new direction under the current management leading to a management buy-out in 1988.
Shannon is now well established as the UK agent for leading European companies, marketing, selling and developing technical products for ventilation, heat protection, heat insulation, noise reduction and vacuum lifting applications. In some of these areas Shannon is rightly known as the market leader.
Our team of experienced staff all have areas of specialist responsibility, are able to advise on a wide range of different solutions and can provide both off-the-shelf and bespoke solutions dependant on the customer requirements. This experience is built over many years and our low staff turnover continues to build upon these firm foundations.
One of the main objectives of the company is to increase its customer base by applying these same principles. We look to all our customers and suppliers as partners in development, as well as business, both parties providing an arena for continuous improvement. The achievement of ISO 9001:2000 in 2005, and subsequently the ISO 9001:2015 standard has helped us to achieve this.
